Dear Amazon, please don't kill the Fire Phone
I've read the reports about Amazon laying off engineers and deciding to end sales of the initial Fire Phone. There seems to be a lot of speculation that suggests this means there won't be a sequel to the Fire Phone in the near future. I bought the Fire Phone when it first became available having had a Galaxy S3 before. While it could use some improvements such as offering the Google Play Store and having a dedicated back button, overall I think it is a great phone. I don't relish the idea of having to go back to a Galaxy phone, another Android model, or the IPhone. I really enjoy the experience I get with the Fire Phone and so my suggestion to Amazon is to keep working on the second iteration. There were some initial problems with sales, but I believe that can be remedied by implementing the two suggestions I mentioned above and offering it to multiple carriers.
